GGE Releases The 2021 State of Black Girls in New York State Issue Brief I: Policing & Arraignments

In January we released our State of Black Girls 2021 Report documenting the state’s response to the ways Black girls resist oppressive notions of girlhood.

Today, we’re sharing out new data from the Police Statistics and Transparency (STAT) Act. The STAT Act became law in 2020 and has created new public reporting on court arraignments during the pandemic.
